Receiving gifts is always a joy and a lot of fun. Like everyone else, I love receiving gifts too. In fact, I eagerly look forward to all the occasions, throughout the year, in which I am sure to receive gifts. Of course, birthday is one such special and probably the most common occasion but there are many others too, especially festivals like Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Christmas etc. and special days like Friendship Day, Valentine’s day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc.Every year I receive a lot of gifts on most of these occasions. While generally I like most of the presents, there are some that I don’t like. However, one of the presents that I received this year completely swept me off my feet.
Since childhood, I have had a fetish for anything and everything that has a pleasant fragrance. Therefore, it goes without saying that I am extremely fond of perfumes. Everyone from my family to friends is aware of this and so someone or the other has always gifted me one at some point of time or the other. Thanks to all of them, I have a huge collection of some wonderful perfumes. I absolutely love using them as they make me feel beautiful and confident.
Like every other time, this year as well my birthday was celebrated with a lot of happiness and fun. As always we had a dinner party at home where all my friends and local relatives were invited, even though I had already had a lunch party with my friends! But as one can ever spend enough time with their friends, I called them over for dinner again. It was an awesome party and I was having the time of my life. Being with the people who love you and whom you love the most is a wonderful experience. We all ate, sang and danced for hours and all in all had an amazing and memorable time.
As expected, there was a huge pile of gifts waiting to be unwrapped, once the dinner was over. One by one I took of the wrappings to reveal my presents. I had got an absolutely stunning pair of diamond earrings from my parents, a trendy top from one of my friends, a stylish pair of shades from another, a classy bag from yet another, a beautifully designed suit from my uncle and aunt, an awesome wrist watch from my brother and obviously a crazy good perfume, from my best friend. Needless to say I loved all these gifts and was overjoyed at having received them. However, there was one gift, apart from these, which majorly stood out. My sister had got it for me. It was a beautiful hamper of some of the most wonderful things I have even seen. It was a piece of heaven packed in a box for me.
